We use the data we collect strictly to deliver and improve the Spectra Packet experience:

  • To authenticate your account and secure your access.
  • To parse, analyze, and generate security insights from your uploaded network data.
  • To communicate important account updates, beta feature releases, or security alerts.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data or uploaded network traffic. We only share information in the following circumstances:

  • Infrastructure Providers: With trusted cloud service providers hosting our application and processing engines (under strict confidentiality agreements).
  • Legal Compliance: If required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights and safety of Spectra Packet and our users.

Because we handle sensitive network captures, we employ industry-standard encryption (TLS for transit, AES-256 for at-rest storage) and strict access controls to protect your data from unauthorized access.

However, please note that no internet-based service can guarantee 100% security. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload the network data you submit to our platform.

5. Your Rights & Choices

You have control over your data. At any time, you can:

  • Access, update, or correct your Account Data via your profile settings.
  • Delete your uploaded PCAP files directly from your dashboard.
  • Request the complete deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support.

6. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use essential cookies strictly to keep you logged in and to maintain session security. We do not use third-party tracking cookies for targeted advertising. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings, though disabling them may impact your ability to use the platform.

7. Data Retention & Children's Privacy

During our Beta phase, uploaded files may be subject to automated lifecycle deletion policies to manage infrastructure capacity. Your account data is retained as long as your account is active.

Spectra Packet is intended for professional and adult use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.
